We recently took in two injured dogs. Samson, a German Shepherd, was found with a chain around his foot. He had chewed his own foot off trying to get the chain off. Our vet determined it was best to remove that leg to allow Samson to have a normal life again. So Samson's leg was aputated and he is doing great in his recovery and should be moving into a foster home soon!! Gracie is a small chihuahua mix and was found with a badly injured eye. Our vets determined she is blind in both eyes. She is microchipped, but her owners no longer want her. Poor girl! We are treating her eye, but there is a possibility that she will still lose her eye. We are a 501(c)3, non-profit, no kill dog shelter located in Lafayette, Indiana. We provide a temporary home for dogs until new, loving homes can be found. In the past two years we have helped over 450 dogs find new homes and hope to continue helping dogs and pet owners in our community!
