Volunteer

We depend on volunteers to keep our dogs happy!

​

Whether that is coming to walk dogs or wanting to help us keep the shelter clean, we enjoy our volunteers.

​

When volunteering, make sure to wear closed-toed shoes.

​

After walking, please be aware that we might need help with dishes, folding laundry, and sweeping/mopping!

Walking Hours

Mornings:

Every day: beginning at 8 am

​

Afternoons:

Sunday-Friday: Beginning at 4 pm

Saturday- Beginning at 3 pm

​

*Please arrive no later than the start times listed above.*

The walking shift will go on until all of our dogs are walked!

Donate

Donate everyday shelter essentials!

 

The following items are needed on a daily basis at the shelter:

  • Wholesomes White Fish and Rice Dry Dog food

  • Wholesomes Puppy Chicken & Rice Dry Dog Food

  • Purina Pro Plan canned puppy food

  • Purina Pro Plan canned adult food

  • Cesar's Wet food

  • Peanut butter  (Check Ingredients for Xylitol which is deadly to dogs)

  • Soft or Crunchy Treats

  • Antlers

  • Large/Medium Kongs  

  • New or Used Dog Toys 

  • New or used blankets (please no knitted blankets, sheets, or comforters)

  • New or used towels, hand towels, wash cloths

  • New or used Dog Beds

  • Mendota Slip Leads

  • Clorox Bleach (we can only use Clorox!!), Odo Ban, Blue Dawn Dish Soap

  • Wet Erase Markers

  • Bottled Water
